Complete data files for two sample companies are included with the Virtual TimeClock/Net TimeClock packages. The first is a fictional retail printer called Premier Printers. The Premier Printers data file set contains pretty comprehensive time card activities for 10 employees for the period of January 1 through October 8, 2000.
The second package is set up as a very simple In/Out time clock for Dr. John Lee, a Dentist’s Office with a few employees. This data set contains employee time card data for the same January 1 through October 8, 2000 time period.
Back it Up
Sample data is used to experiment with various program settings and features in order to see how they interact on actual ‘live’ data. It is therefore highly recommended that you backup the initial Data folder containing all the sample data information. By doing this, you’ll have complete freedom to experiment while retaining a fresh back up should you want to start over with the original data or configuration.
Passwords
If you enable password protection on either sample data file, you’ll need to know the employee’s passwords. To make interaction with password protected data files easy, each employee’s password is set to their first name (i.e. John Smith’s password is ‘john’).
